Bring lunch? Buy lunch? While I don't work for an über-cool, trendy buzz-worthy company like Google, Apple, Microsoft or any other such everybody-knows-them firm, when it comes to corporate culture, the organization I work for is world class indeed.

Especially when it's time to strap on the feedbag so I spend about "zero point zero" dollars on lunch and in many cases, dinner.

Here's a few reasons why:

Apple's Most Ubiquitous Product? iDiots!

I'm not sure if it's because stupid people like Apple products or if Apple products make people stupid. It's chapped my ass for years for years but I've never called out anyone on their incredible ignorance. However, when I read the same ass-chapping ignorant perception on Apple Insider written by an author, whom one must assume is indeed an insider of sorts, I knew I had to speak out. If I can only make the iDiots a little less stupid, it will be wort the time and effort.

Steve Jobs' signature upper-body garment is NOT a turtleneck! He's never worn one in any appearance I've ever known of and I challenge you to find an image on the Internet (or anywhere else) in which he's wearing one.

Jobs wears a MOCK turtleneck; there's a big difference.

Turtleneck: a high, close-fitting collar, turned back on itself and covering all or most of the neck
Mock turtleneck: a knit pullover finished at the neckline with a short, fitted knit band that does not fold over.

For those of you that can't process any word that isn't preceded by a lower case "i", maybe some pictures will help you understand the difference...

If you can't see the difference in the images, well, maybe you should just pluck out your eyes and be done with them 'cause they're totally useless and serve you no purpose

Why, in the name of your precious Lord and Savior Steve, don't you sheeple get it? Why is it so hard? Are you really that stupid?

To further clarify that none of you know jack, here are some random images of he without whom you couldn't survive...

The last one might trip you up as the garment is neither a mock nor actual turtleneck; it's a hybrid crew neck with a subtle overlapping "V" stitched ribbed collar.

I realize that everyone on the Net didn't spend ten years in the apparel industry as I did but I knew the difference between a mock and a turtleneck by the time I entered first grade so there's no legitimate excuse for the mass ignorance echoing through every article about Steve Jobs I've ever read.

Unless the rumors about Steve Jobs draining your cerebral energy through the keys on your Macs and the click-wheel on your iPods are true.

For Christ's sake people, if you're gonna write, get it right. Is that too much to ask?

Seriously, life is killing us; if it's not one thing or another. Don't drink this, don't eat that, stay away from whatever.

People with a cell phone constantly glued to their ear while driving and dining and such will be the first victims! What in Gord's can they talk about all day long.

I say thin the gene pool.

How to: Cross-Post on Multiple Platforms

The best way to publish your content on multiple blogs is to use an effective third-party post editor. The added bonus is that your important thoughts are backed up on your PC before you even publish them.

If your favorite unstable blog host collapses or its owner abandons you, you can find someplace like Vox and repost your entire life.

Depending on your capabilities and experience, the two best programs I've found are Alleycode and w.bloggar.

For advanced bloggers, Alleycode offers HTML, XHTML, CSS and PHP scripting options.

For everyone else, w.bloggar is a basic WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor that's simple enough for beginners yet robust enough for the most experienced blogger.

Like everything else in life, a little planning up front can eliminate a crisis before it occurs.

Maybe It's Me...

Nothing against folks who have or can make plenty of time for blogging but no mater how much I would love to live a Peter Pan lifestyle, the real back-breaking, mind-numbing world makes it difficult for me to post anywhere with any regularity.

Long ago my primary blog turned into a monstrous time-consuming compendium of reality TV screencaps that's months behind and while it is my blog and I can post whatever I want, I'm afraid my ramblings, rants, musing, and social observations are of little interest to the freaks and deviants (like me) with a healthy appetite for scantily clad Big Brother and Survivor hotties.

So, with a long weekend to celebrate the independence of our once great nation that we're allowing to be looted and pillaged by the government that's supposed to ensure democracy and protect us I finally had some time to share some of the aforementioned ramblings and rants.

Unfortunately when I popped in to catch up with folks at EFx2 Blogs and wax philosophical about my burning thoughts (I can't remember what they were but they were certainly burning at the time) the site was pretty much down. Yeah, the community chat was alive and the under-utilized forums were working but the blogs were down. A few of the Community Leaders have done a good job of sharing what's known (not much) about the down-time and pointing people toward the EFx2 Bloggers groups at Vox & Facebook and BlogNomads.com.

But enough babble, on to the point...

If you strip away the details, in it's purest sense, my job is basically communicating. I've always been a sporadic blogger because after spending all day every day communicating I don't feel like sitting down in front of another monitor and communicating even more. That's why my TypePad blog evolved into a psychotically huge collection of screencaps. Well that and the insane number of PG-13 pervs that share my RTV fetish. But I'm still babbling damn it!

Sporadic blogging; ModBlog; EFx2; slow painful deaths.

ModBlog was offline when I had long overdue burst of inspiration, several times; hell, every time! Same with EFx2 last September and again now I'm inspired er... was inspired and the buzzards are circling overhead; you can almost smell the rotting flesh.

Since all bloggers think themselves erudite and sagacious with unique perspectives (I know I do) I'm thinkin' maybe it's me, maybe I'm the cause, maybe I should either blog regularly or not at all. After all, as a blogger, it is all about me, right?

So here's to old friends at new places and what I hope will be the last exodus. It's tough to keep track of everyone, but there's plenty of room and civic services in this neighborhood!

The Tragically Hip's November '96 concert at Cobo Arena was released as "Live Between Us" so it's laminated for posterity onto the CD jacket. Great band, great show, one of the greatest live albums of all time.

QotD: The Fall TV Season

What shows are you looking forward to in the new fall TV season?

Great question, especially since the summer season is rapidly drawing to a close with season 3 of Kyle XY ending last week and only one more episode of The 4400 left. For the uninitiated, both shows are worthwhile and much better many "regular season" offerings. I'm a Big Brother fan too but like past seasons, it's become predictable and anticlimactic at this point so I've about had enough of it and am more than ready to get back to my fall favorites and some very promising new additions to an otherwise pathetic broadcast schedule.

Here are the shows I'm most looking for ward to:
